please help or at least point in right direction

I am streaming 100% legal content and want to stream both live and on demand. I have been streaming live with only issue being I cant preview video while streaming but what I am after is....

1 a way to cut in content from a second source durring live streamms (ie comercial type media files that are pre made) but it needs to run in such a way as to not disconect the stream that is in progress.

2 a way to set up a user/pass for paid clients for both on demand and live streams (while most streams will be free, a few will require a paid membership)

3 a way to overlay a logo or text on live streams like in the top or bottom right hand corner.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated, I was also wondering if there was an irc chat room set up anywhere I might be able to get a little help along the way.

1# You need to configure the Shoutcast server to prevent cutting out between sources.

2# Scripts like that do exist, but are custom developed. Some one would have to code that for you.

3# You could use FFDShow or camtasia

Thank you very much. I have both FFDShow and camtasia 3.1.2, is one better than the other?
Ill get to work on getting server set up and see how things go with FFDShow for now and let you know how it turns out.

As for #2 is there anyone you would recomend me checking with to code such a script?

Hmmmmm can I stream the nsv file I have saved on my computer using nsvcap? I cant seem to find an option in nsvcap for streaming files.
I am assuming I will need a second program to stream the files, I tried nsv coder gui but while it says its streaming the video it cant be viewed, what program should I use?
I can stream live video.
Also I set the shoutcast config to AutoDumpUsers=1 and when I just try to stop and start the live feed it is still disconnecting viewers from the stream
Again thanks for the help.

*Update*
I tried nsvgui7 and got it to work streamming files but still have the issue of when I stop and restart the live stream or the file stream it disconnects tthe viewers.
I have the shoutcast config set to AutoDumpUsers=1
Is there something else I need to edit in the config or am I doing something wrong?
I have not tried switching from live to file or file to live as I can not even get the stream to "stay alive" just stopping and starting either the live or file stream.

The encoded video and the live video feed must all be the same encoded bit rate.

In other words, you cant have video thats encoded at 250 kbs and live video thats only 500 kbs.

The encoded video I am testing with is a nsv file I made with nsvcap but just changed the target from shoutcast server to file so they should be exactly the same
But even when I try just using a live feed or a file and I start the stream and then stop and restart it is still dropping the users when I stop it
The shoutcast server config is set to AutoDumpUsers=1. Isnt that the correct setting to "keep alive" the stream when I stop/start the source or change from live to file streaming?

You have the AutoDumpUser configuraiton set correctly.

How are you sourcing the NSV files ? ( Which software are you using to do that. )

I may be trying to do something its not set to do but I thought it was said I can stop and start streams without it dropping the users. What happens is the stream keeps playing for the user untill the point of where i stopped it and then the video window in winamp closes.

I am using nsvgui7 to stream the files to the server.
The files are encoded by caping video from my tv using nsvcap and saving to a file using the same settings I use when I cap live video to stream to the server.
But I have the issue of the stream dropping users even if I start a live stream, stop it for a couple seconds and then start it back. Same thing happens if I try it with streaming a file.
SO first thing I need to fix is for the stream to "stay alive" when I stop/start a stream, then I will see what if any issues I have with switching from live to file and back to live again. But I am running out of time I am supposed to stream a live event next weekend, its free so I dont guess they have any right to complain lol but I would prefer to get it all fixed if at all possible.
Not sure if it makes a difference but I am testing with 2 pc's here at the house one to stream and one to view.
Thanks for all your help so far, you guys rock!

Your Shoutcast server is configured correctly to prevent clients from being dumped when source data is changed.

I do not know what the problem is.

This bites
Ill have my server guy double check and restart the shoutcast service.
I really dont want to have to point my camera at a printed peice of paper durring the dead air time like I did last time lol
I may be forced to just get a dedicated shoutcast account at some other host cause I really need to be able to have this option.
If I dont get this worked out do you have any suggestions for a decent priced shoutcast host? I dont stream daily, its only a per event set up at the most every weekend right now untill I start doing an on demand stream set up.

Thanks for the link, I like the sound of their software but it is HIGH priced, too high for me.
I am considering trying icecast and its "fallback" method if I cant get shoutcast working. I am thinking its some server setting stopping it from accepting the shoutcast setting to keep alive or something along those lines.
But Im still open to other suggestions/options

If you still looking for the paid users scripts, give me a PM. I'd be willing to help you out on that for a small fee.
