kill everything that is using your soundcard hardware. Do get so uptight and boot up in safe mode, but don't run anything else.
remove winamp/shoutcast, delete the directories as well. install winamp, install the dsp plug in. start winamp press control P for preferences, choose Choose output, select direct sound, select DSP/EFFECTS, shoutcast DSP (DO NOT use any stackers, or other DSP). What happens? You should also verify that you have a soundcard that supports direct sound, you can run directX diag, start, run DXDIAG and go through all the tests. Also make sure you have the most recent drivers. I hope you arent running on windows 95, windows 98 or windows ME (blech!) Cheers ~ According to the ship's log we're down to our last 3000 vomit bags. It'll never be enough. ![]() search the forums! don't PM me on how-to, or ask me to setup you system. you do it so you learn. |
