Shoutcast TV: Which Ports?
I ran a search on here to find which ports I should forward on my router to use Shoutcast TV, but I can only find information about setting up servers and shoutcast radio.
Which ports does shoutcast TV use, and is there any way to change them on winamp? Just a side note, what happened to the search feature on Shoutcast TV? |

It's the same server, the same ports. The only thing that is different is the format that is being streamed. And, just like with SHOUTcast radio, you have no control over what port is being used by someone running a stream.
The search was removed, as it didn't actually work. | Brought to you by ^V ^C | The one... the original... no seriously! |

So, I should forward 8000 and 8001? Also, my sister shares my connection, if the ports can't be altered, that will essentially mean she can't watch shoutcast if I forward it to my computer.

You don't need to forward anything to watch or listen to a stream.

Oh okay, thanks for that. I'm just having connection issues and I thought I might have to set up port forwarding to resolve them.
Thanks again |
