running shoutcast on a dedicated server
hi i am running shoutcast on a dedicated server. i havent used dedicated servers bfore but someone told me they are in dmz so no need of port forwarding,
i can access the server locally i.e by going http://127.0.0.1:8000 and the shoutcast page comes up. if i put the ip of my server locally the page comes up as well.. but when i try to connect to the shoutcast page from my internet connection nothing cmes up. so what am i doing wrong i am entering serversip:8000 |

Port's probably blocked. Ask whoever told you it was in the DMZ to confirm that it really is...
