Best Software to rip CD to MP3?

Hey,

I have a large number of CD's to add to my radio streams, and I was wondering what is the best software to use to turn my CD's into MP3's for SHOUTcast broadcast?

"Best" characteristics would include: most powerful, fastest, most accurate, ease of use, good ID3 tagging / file name capabilities.

Allow me to say that I love Winamp and use it to both play all my music and to broadcast. That being said, is it truly the best software to rip CD's (especially a whole lot of them), or is there something better out there?

Thanks,
rg.

Please note that this post is NOT about stream ripping; it's about digitizing CD's.

I had problems with AudioGrabber years ago (it was skipping and stuff). Is it better now?

Yes. I have never had it skip on me.

I do however, do out and download lameenc.dll as the program hints at for better mp3 quality. The lame codec is free as well.

I like audiograbber the best because it has the option of ripping to an intermediate wave file, normalizing, and encoding to mp3; cddb support; ability to tag the files however you wish really; and the fact that it is free.

EAC sounds good, but it only does ID3v1?

By far the best software I've found for this is Exact Audio Copy. Follow the guide at uberstandard.org to setup it up.
