Last.Fm Issue Fixed?!

I couldn't find anything on these forums about it. But for those having trouble with last.fm scrobbling your tracks it appears Dr.O has fixed it. It's only a test build but it works. I'm not sure if I can post the link myself but I got the .dll file over at the Last.fm forums.

I don't know why I even care about my songs being tracked but for some reason I felt lost without it....thanks Dr.O good work!!!

"It is, in the end, whatever the Hell I want it to be,
And when I'm through with it, it's gonna blow a hole,
This wide, straight through the worlds own idea of itself.
They're throwing bottles at your house.
Come on, lets go break their arms."

Thank God for your plugin, DrO, it works wonderfully and is much better than the terrible default last.fm client. You are a golden god.

amusingly, the only differences between the standalone and client plugins are how they communicate with the last.fm servers, otherwise they're basically identical (excluding abu's ml_ipod modifications). is always good to have a plugin using the correct 5.x apis for a change, heh

Daz, correct me if I'm wrong -- but your fixed standalone plugin doesn't support Unicode, does it?

correct, at the moment the older code base hasn't been updated to use the correct unicode apis (this is why it's still left as a dev build). once i've done that the version will be bumped to 1.1.12

Thanks. I can't wait to go back to your plugin (and reclaim the 30 MB that the Last.fm "helper" is eating alive at every Winamp session).

DrO will your upcoming revision of the plugin report the currently playing song to last.fm? This plugin for foobar2000 does just that, and I love it. I want the same functionality in Winamp without needing to keep that annoying last.fm app in my system tray! Thanks so much.
