Can IntroFile be on remote server?
Can I store IntroFile remotely?
Say, like this: IntroFile=http://digivs.com/radio/intro%d.mp3 |

I have a similar question although it involves cluster and relay servers rather than http urls.
The Introfile is working on the small 5 listener server I have set up. However on the two relays/back up servers and cluster spread out across the nation the Introfile is not working. So my question is...Will the Introfile work across two servers, say from one relay to another? From a master to a slave, etc. Or do I need to have the Introfile mp3 set up specifically on each box/config? Thanks! |

Wait, was that a question or an answer?
My hope is that I upload the intro.mp3 file to the first server as well as add it to sc_serv.conf and then it will work throughout the cluster. Is that true or false? Thanks! |

I have Shoutcast on a remote box, and have put intro.mp3 in the same directory, so that instead of
IntroFile=c:\intro%d.mp3 it would be: IntroFile=intro%d.mp3 but it seems to not work? any suggestions? thanks in advance |

Take out the %d.
The %d is a variable and is getting replaced with the bitrate the stream is being broadcast at, so for instance if you are broadcasting at 128 kbps then the SHOUTcast DNAS is looking for intro128.mp3 Hope this makes sense, for more info regarding the intro file on SHOUTcast see: http://wiki.shoutcasthelp.com/index.php/Intro_Files Tom |
