LastFM scrobbling from mp3 player, when using Winamps Media Library Portables section
Hi, I was wondering if anyone has found a way to enable scrobbling from a Creative Zen Vision mp3 player when streaming songs using the Portables section in Winamps Media Library.
Winamp seems to be playing the track using http stream like this: http://127.0.0.1:54387/?a=Diablo&l=M...%20Vision;.mp3 I know that in older versions of the plugin you could force scrobbling from http sources by editing the Windows registry (setting allowhttp to 1). I'm not sure if this is possible anymore in the newest Last.fm plugin because the registry entry is a bit different in the new version of Last.fm plugin. Any way of doing this? |

Any update?
Did you ever receive any kind of response to your inquiry? I'm experiencing the same issue. I couldn't find an equivalent place in the registry to add the "allowhttp=1" entry.
I did download the Audioscrobbler DLL from this blog site: http://banagale.com/winamp-55-update...r-updating.htm It more clearly displayed the "cannot submit http" error. It also creates the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Audioscrobbler\Winamp Plugin key, so I tried creating the "allowhttp=1" string there and restarted WinAmp. I didn't fix scrobbling, but it *did* change the error message. I now see "Invalid - cannot read tag file" errors when playing tracks from my Zen. I guess this make sense: if the track is simply an streamed via HTTP, the tags would have to be included in the stream. Kind of bummed. Hope someone actually has an answer.
