Apple Lossless Encoder?

Hello all,

I'm curious as to whether there is an Apple Lossless Encoder for Winamp.

I store all of my music in FLAC, but unfortunately, my iPod Classics only support Apple Lossless as an alternative.

I currently use dbPowerAmp Music Converter to convert FLAC to ALE.. but if I could do this with Winamp as part of the auto-transcode, I would love it!

Any ideas?

There is not. Apple does not play well with others. The Apple Lossless decoder is basically reverse engineered (which means Apple can probably break it). Plus there is the whole Apple likes to sue thing.

Stinky. I was hoping someone was going to say there was a way to make the codec for db Music Converter work for Winamp.
