if you have ssh access to the website to install the server then yes.

most webhosts run a mile at the sight of shoutcast,
unfortunately there are no magic php scripts to do this.

dammit, lol

ok thanks nick,

how do some of these indy stations afford to have like 2500 slots and 9 relays, i dont wanna mention names. but its a top station not corperate like sky or anyone, but they have just a few banner ads etc... and my station has out grown our 100mbit connection and additional 30 relay slots...

im looking for an effictive way to divert traffic off the main server and have a monster amount of relays..

lol

sounds kinda hard to do.

You and everyone else.

you would be amazed at what some people have access to and have been sponsored in terms of connectiviy..

bandwidth costs cash but stations do manage to get enough donations to run if they do it right.

News to me but as i'm in the uk i wouldn't really see this kind of info.

but as shoutcast doesnt support multicasting and development is at a standstill i doubt you will see anything.
