No audio source

I'm trying to set-up a shoutcast server, but am not getting audio. I have downloaded winamp, and the plug-in needed. I'm using line-in for audio.
* Winamp sees the audio (it's meter shows it)
* I've set all of the setting (like the iliketunes tutoral)
* Shoutcast starts and talks to the internet fine, but says no source

Thanks for any help,
Debbie

no audio

Thanks, I had already went thru that tutorial, very good one I might add. The problem is when going to the Pref->effects->Shoutcast Source in the Shoutcast Source window, under the input tab, nothing shows on my meters. Winamp does show on the meter. So both the Winamp(Recommended) and Soundcard Input show nothing on the meter. I have gone to the mixers and everything matches up fine. I stuck. Any other thoughts?

Are you trying to stream from winamp or another source or just trying to get mic and audio?

its all about the recording mixer,

if you cannot see what options you need then try the properties of the mixer and enable more options,

if it vista give up trying to use stereo mix..

I have audio comeing in thru the line-in (or mic in I've tryed both) But I am having it go thru Winamp, per must directions I've read. I'm not using a mic in addition, just a constant feed coming in.

I have enable the mic/line-in in the mixer and it all seems to look correct.

I'm using a Win2000pro, I don't know if that is making the difference.

Yes I have a mixer connected to the PC. I did as you stated, but don't have a wave option to select.

Even thought Winamp's meters show activity, I can't hear it, when it is running alone.

I'm missing something in Winamp, I can't even get winamp to play a CD for me either.

after I played the CD, then line-in now works and it streaming.

I don't know why or how, and I'm afraid to touch anything, but need to, so I can re-start if need be.

Any clue, what happened, was winamp "hogging the line-in" and not passing it thur. As soon as winamp played the CD, it gave shoutcast the line-in.

Well it all seemed to start working. I already had the settings, the right way, but then it started. Is there an order things need to be done? Like, audio selected before the shoutcast server is started? I'm stumped, but at least it seems to be working, for now.
thanks
