Plays when I open it

When I open Winamp, it automatically starts playing the last song I was listening to, from where I stopped. This sucks, especially when I'm wearing headphones and it comes immediately into the loudest part of the song.

My ears still hurt from a few minutes ago.

I'm sure this is a simple thing to fix, and sorry if there's already been a post about it, I couldn't find one.

Hmmm... interesting.

Did you by chance install DrO's Time Restore & Autoplay plugin? And did you configure it to restore playing position?

Quoted from the above linked-to plugin page...
Quote:
Restore playing position

This will allow the playing position to be restored between use of Winamp.
So if Winamp was closed and the file was at 4:25, then on loading the playback will be restarted at 4:25.
Now if you've done the above, UNcheck that option in the Time Restore & Autoplay preferences/ configuration.

Don't email or PM me concerning Winamp. Instead, either start a NEW TOPIC or post a REPLY in the appropriate thread in these forums. This will also benefit others who may have a similar question or problem. But before posting, please first Search the forums and read all FAQs and all Sticky threads.

No actually, i didn't have that plugin installed... but I installed it and configured it how you said, and the problem went away.

I'm lost as to what caused it, but thanks Nunzio
