Album List Alternative

Anybody know of a alternative to the Album List plug-in. It has been updated in forever and it's lacking some features I would like to see or improved.

"It is, in the end, whatever the Hell I want it to be,
And when I'm through with it, it's gonna blow a hole,
This wide, straight through the worlds own idea of itself.
They're throwing bottles at your house.
Come on, lets go break their arms."

august 2007 isn't 'forever' going on what's in http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/a...stv207b317.exe but you're best seeing if there's anything else stated on the album list plugin forum and possibly trying to contact the dev to see what's going on. then again 11 months isn't enough time to call something dead and there's been other winamp plugins that have been deemed dead for longer and then get updated again.

as for an alternative i can't think of anything to that same level and i'm not aware of anyone even developing something to that level.

Thanks Dr0....I said forever because I had an old version I didnt notice that they had updated it recently. The Winamp Plugin page doesnt mention the 2007 update

no one can successfully update details about plugin submissions and pretty much most people don't bother with using it now. a fix is pretty remote to happen now as far as the site goes since it's not going to earn revenue so isn't being focused on (unfortunately there's too many posts about the submission system not working but there we go).

at least you've got a newer version and there's a thread on these forums along with the sf.net project as well which should give a better idea of how/where things stand with it all.

erm actually, i don't know where you have the link to the 2.07 version from but at least here ( http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...group_id=66663 ) as well as on the official website ( http://albumlist.sourceforge.net/ ) the latest available version is 2.06 from october 6th, 2006.

now call me paranoid but no update on the official website for 21 months, no response in the thread for album list here about whether development is still going on or not - it seems to me this project is dead as well.

which is really a pity since i just downloaded that v2.07 (thanks a lot for the link) and it seems to have even more nice features that more people should know of than just the ones looking in this very thread.
i'll send the developer an email, who knows... maybe he'll shed some light on the situation.

[edit]
well, i just got an answer - seems he would like to improve it further but the progress is slow because he's very busy at this time. he does upload alpha-versions which might be buggy on sourceforge, though.
i didn't see that because they just show when you click directly on "download" - "browse all files" just lists the final versions.

Hmmm... do the forum moderators unhide these URLs that users put in if they are legitimately useful?

Just wondered.

I think after you post a certain number of times your links will show up. It's to prevent spam from internet trolls

I don't think they can be magically unhidden because of how the censor works. You will see that if a mod edits a newbie's post and includes a URL then it will be censored too.

Sometimes people will be kind and quote someone's message.

[EDIT] Snap, Zero2FiftyIn4. You are correct if someone stops being a newfag newbie then they will be uncensored.
