Before I waste my time...
I've already used the general searching tools to look for this, and got a whole lot of nuthing--but I'd like to know if this is even possible before I begin google-stripping all records of winamp down for the past decade for the key terms I'm looking for.
Is it possible for there to be an OUTPUT plugin that simply dumps the signal out through a custom sound device (like a 'line in') that I'd be able to set as the microphone device on various voice chat services like Second Life, such that: ONLY sounds from winamp come in through, NO IM dings, NO ambient windows sound effects, NO sounds from websites or youtube, NO sounds from games or other applications, NO feedback from incoming voice chat, JUST winamp-out DIRECTLY to line-in. Has anybody ever heard of such a thing? |

I use "Virtual Audio Cable" on Win2k/XP for patching
inputs and outputs from various applications; it should do what you describe. Michael |
