Playlist file calling from http.. possible?

Basically.. I have two servers, one has tons of storage but is shared and cannot be used for shoutcast.. the other has less storage and can be. Can I make a playlist file that'll read the MP3s from the other server? I've tried just writing a http://file.mp3 reference in but no joy, it just skips it. At worst, I could write a script that looks at the playlist generated, downloads the track, lets it play then deletes it but .. too much effort really!

install sc_trans on the server that you can install it on. Create a playlist file that points to the other server with the music. For the path in the .pls file it would need to be something like:

http://IP_ADDRESS/mp3_directory/file_name.mp3

I've never tried this, but it should work out for you.

Yeah that's how I laid it out but cos I'm a newbie it overwrote it in the post. I'll try a few variants tho and see what happens.. Cheers!
