Nokia plugged in crashes Winamp
When my Nokia n85 is plugged in (media transfer mode or any/no mode - even if just for charging), Winamp finds the memory card - music, video, playlists etc.
but also says loading s60 device for a while then winamp closes without warning. Any ideas? |

hi
I've got a N81 and the truth is that Nokia is pathetic when it comes to the sync & media transfer stuff. My problem is that in "Media transfer" mode it just kept "loading" and never finished. The way it ended up working for me was to have it in PC Suite mode. however, after all the hassle i just use File Transfer mode and use the split scree in the Ultimate Media Library for moving files, but i really want the Sync stuf vastly improved in Winamp. |

Is this going to be addressed?
Or is there someway to disable Winamp detecting the phone? |

I've had this problem with WinAmp and my N-85.
Uninstalling the pmp.dll files stops WinAmp from crashing but I can't access my Nokia device through WinAmp. Rolling back to WMP 10 also stopped WinAmp from crashing but I kept getting prompted to upgrade. Through trial and error, I discovered Winamp does not crash when I connect in Mass Transfer mode. In Mass Transfer mode I can use WinAmp to sync library files and my Nokia device, and I can play files on my device through WinAmp on my PC. I can also transfer files manually between my PC and my phone using Internet Explorer. |

Winamp and Nokia device phone
Had the same issue with winAmp 5.581.
I uninstalled and re-installed. It works fine so far. My nokia N97 is set to "PC Suite" connection by default. I can now use the "Send to:" feature to to any of my drives on the phone. Sweet. Hope this helps anyone looking for this issue. |
