Creative Zen XiFi

Hey everybody ::- ). I just purchased Winamp Pro a week ago. I didn't really need it, but I just wanted to show my respect to the people who got this software this far along. I'm also using the NSIS installer and Winamp is probably the program I've gathered the most hours in my life (save for the OS, of course). So I bought it only out of respect.

Anyway, since I installed a Pro version, I saw you support some players from Creative (probably also in the free version) and I was just gifted a Creative Zen XiFi. However, when I plug it in USB, nothing happens. XiFi isn't supported yet I guess.

Any idea when it will be supported by Winamp? ::- ). I *HATE* the fact that this SHIT player doesn't know to read files alpha-fu<king-betically! And I would hope that Winamp can fix this by allowing me to easily auto-create playlists on the PC.

Thanks in advance guys & gals ::- D.

Is the zen x-fi showing in my computer?

Windows should see the zen as a mtp device (Media Transfer Protocol) and if not visible in Windows I doubt Winamp will detect it either.

ps. I have a zen x-fi and have no problems with it; better sound than an ipod touch.

Yeap

Hi ::- ). Yes, Windows does see the device as a MTP. It appears in My Computer but Winamp does not indicate any "Portables" connected ::- (.

I also have the latest Creative firmware on it. While docked in USB I see the proper icon on the player's LCD (that it's docked).

This is a rather new XiFi with LAN (WiFi) and 16 GB.
