Winamp not deleting folders and .alb files in MTP player

Hi,

I started using Winamp 5.56 to manage my NWZ-A826 player and when I remove albums from the player using Winamp, it deletes the songs but does not delete the folders and the .alb (album art) files.

I searched on the board and Google but couldn't find anything about it. Does anyone has the same problem and is there a fix for this behavior?

I'm using Winamp 5.56 on Windows 7 x64 and the player is a Sony NWZ-A826.

Thanks

Chris

What creates those folder? The phone? Or Winamp?

I expect Winamp just removes what it added to the phone. Which would be why the alb files get left behind as the phone created those.

Im guessing Winamp creates the data through the use of the MTP protocol
Which i think is a poorly used and buggy
Don't hold your breath.. no one (working on winamp) cares
For an example of how things should be done please see WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER.
Believe it or not Microsoft seems to be able to do what Winamp can not..
