Music From 'The Matrix' Album Copy Protected?

Hey everyone,

not sure if this is the right department to post this, but here goes:

Does anyone know if the 'The Matrix - Music From The Motion Picture' is copy-protected or something?
Cause I tried to rip it with Winamp, Exact Audio Copy and something else I believe,
but it just fails to get the data to the drive.
The CD is barely scratched, it plays without a problem on different players and drives.
Besides, I've even ripped way worse discs than this one.

So I figure it's probably protected or something.
Does anyone know, or could anyone that has it perhaps try to rip it?
It's the CD/album with exactly the title mentioned above.
So it's not the score, it's the one with different songs released (in 1999) to promote 'The Matrix'.

Otherwise recommend me a program or trick that might be able to do it?
I already tried a couple, so I don't know if there's a chance...

If it is, there's most likely a note about it on the cover.

Try ripping it with CDex |link| if winamp gives you problems.

Hm, not that I can see.

Also, I tried CDex too, but it's the same result.
It just kind of stalls when trying to rip.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Last resort - Play it on a regular CD player with an output that plugs into the line-in on the back of your computer, and use a recording application to record it in realtime, stopping and renaming the file after each track. Long, yes. Tedious, yes. But if all else fails, this will work, every time. It's how I get my vinyl and reel-to-reel stuff onto the computer.

I guess it was released in time when they used to force copy-protection. You can rip it with CDex though.

Ahhh copy-protection - great for some and a pain for others!

Long and tedious the Vinyl way can waste an afternoon - i'm sure many of us have done it!

Well, tedious if you look at it that way, but it forces me to rekindle the fires of the past, which turns out to be a much better thing than originally anticipated. If done in the right frame of mind with the right people, it turns out to be something quite nice.
