Its the same as shoutcast , right click and run winamp as an administrator.

It may not save the encoder settings and will still default back to the aac config but most of the settings used to connect with are saved.

Sorry, but I don't know what you mean.

My problem is in Shoutcast, where all the connection settings get lost each time I close out Winamp. Where do I right click? In Shoutcast? In Winamp? I right clicked in Shoutcast but nothing happened. If I do it in Winamp, where do I do it? If I click in the playlist, I get the normal choices for what to do with the music.

No problem, quick reply! I was just going back to post that I tried right clicking on desktop shortcut, and was allowed to select Run as Administrator. That saved the settings for me. Thanks!!!!!

Now, if you can just tell me in Windows 7 what I need to do to find the Volume Control window for selecting WAV and MIC. The sound icon in Windows 7 does not show the same window as in XP. I have posted this elsewhere in this forum. Is my answer that I need a plug-in sound card for the laptop? Will that bring up the old familiar window?
