nsis messages and gettext
Hi everybody,
Thanks to nsis we have an ekiga port to windows (http://wiki.ekiga.org/index.php/Buil...ga_for_Windows), but currently we have two kinds of translations: - our own messages in nsis installer, which are translated in a few languages only - and ekiga itself strings, which, as a gnome application, has many translations. It would be wonderful if gnome translation teams translate our nsis strings too. Otherwise said, I would like to: - either instruct nsis to use gettext translated strings (.mo) in po directory - or (worse) a bridge application between nsis translation system and gettext. Any idea on how can I achieve this? Best regards, Eugen Dedu |

You may need to create a small conversion tool that takes a list of .po files as input and converts it to a .nsh file with a series of LangString instructions for each translated string.
You can then launch this tool through the !system or !execute preprocessor instruction, and then use !include on the output .nsh Note: if you create such tool, that would be nice to release it in public domain, so other could use it in their installation system. My NSIS plug-ins: http://wiz0u.free.fr/prog/nsis.php |
