gen_audioscrobbler not caching songs

I've have not been able to scrobble tracks played in Winamp or my iPod. I Thought 5.581 broke the plugin, so I put 5.58 back on, but to no avail.

Dr. O.. help!

From the screenshot, everything looks to be connecting correctly, but nothing actually shows up on Last.fm

i've really no idea as i've not used the service for some time now (and never had an ipod so no idea about that side of things). maybe it's something with their servers or just the fact the plug-in uses the old & outdated scrobbler api and they've dropped it (i guess not from your log but i'm really not sure). doesn't help that i'm not sure where my last version of the code for the plug-in is as i've re-installed the machine it was on twice since my last work on it.

I'm not sure if it's just me having issues, I posted in the ml_ipod forum, but no replies there.

Does pmp_ipod support syncing and scrobbling from iPods? The last time I used pmp_ipod the only option for sync was the entire library

i've no idea if it's just you or not (not having an ipod i'll never be able to test the scrobbling support from it). pmp_ipod doesn't have any support for scrobbling as it'd be contradictory to the Orgler feature (which i don't know is handled off the ipod either - i'd guess not and it'll just only deal with files played off the ipod within Winamp at the time).

unless there's anything on the last.fm forums though you're in a grey area as i'd expect them to tell you to use the official plug-in (no idea if that supports the ipod through Winamp now) or hope the issue the plug-in works it way out (as i'm not in a position to support it).

I tried to delete the plugin then reinstall, I noticed that my username and password were still in place. Do you remember where that info is stored so I can delete it? Also, where are cached tracks written to?

Any info at all would help. This is diving me nuts, I've tried everything

And now the strange behavior starts..

I installed the older build of the gen_audioscrobbler, found that it actually cached the song, but it was unable to submit to last.fm. So I reinstalled the latest build and now I see some songs are being sent to last.fm, but erratically. If I listen to an album, two or three tracks are submitted.

Still, the plugin is not caching songs when an iPod is not connected, and not submitting songs while one is.
