Samsung Galaxy S not detected as a portable device

Hi All,

I have recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S (Android) phone, which I am trying to set up syncing with Winamp.

The problem is this:

Winamp will not recognize that I have connected the Galaxy. Yes it is in Mass storage mode, yes I have mounted the phone, yes I can see the drives in explorer and happily drag files to and from both the internal storage and the SD card.

If I quit Winamp and then re-run it it then detects the attached drives.

System:

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.
8Gb RAM
Core 2 Duo E8400 (3 Ghz) CPU
MSI P35 Platinum motherboard
Realtek High Definition Audio
nVidia GeForce 8800GT
1.56 TB of disk
DirectX v11

Winamp 5.58 Pro.

Plugin list attached.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Alas no...

No, I still have the problem, but I am waiting for Froyo, and the new Winamp Beta with Winamp on the Android and wireless Sync kind of solves the problem.

In any case, I could always run it in a Virtual Machine and have no problems.

So I am putting up with it. But I'll check out youur suggestion.

Thanks,
