Would probably be better to ask on the whmsonic forums instead.

Yes, I know. But since your question is very specific to WHMSonic support there's not a lot anybody can do/say definitively unless you get lucky and somebody on these forums also knows a thing or two about WHMSonic and happens to see this thread.

Beyond that, you can try the alternative methods of getting support as mentioned in WHMSonic's vBulletin Message.

Or, you could wait "a few days".

Please understand, WHMSonic does not come from SHOUTcast. Only SHOUTcast comes from SHOUTcast. WHMSonic only uses (or otherwise helps in the install/configuration en-mass) SHOUTcast in their WHMSonic package. WHMSonic's dependency on any SHOUTcast software package does not in-and-of-itself, neither de jure nor de facto, create a binding legal contract between SHOUTcast and WHMSonic that requires any AOL/SHOUTcast/Nullsoft/Winamp employee, staff member, or affiliate to supply support for WHMSonic's goods or services. As far as I know, there is no official affiliation or endorsement or contractual obligation of any kind to WHMSonic by SHOUTcast or AOL/NullSoft/Winamp. WHMSonic is it's own business entity with it own responsibilities to it's own consumer base. There's is the ultimate responsibility for providing support for their packages regardless of what might be inside it or bundled with it or any additional software packages required to use it.

Disclaimer:
I'm not an AOL/SHOUTcast/NullSoft/Winamp employee or "insider" so any assertions or statements I have made could potentially be completely false. The statements or assertions I have made in this post only reflect my current understanding of the material I've read as of this posting date. This post is only an act of volunteerism as are many many others in this forum.

I, myself, hesitate to proffer advice on the usage of WHMSonic on SHOUTcast products only because as I have never used any of WHMSonic's products or services personally, I don't know if any of WHMSonic's software packages bundle SHOUTcast software with it or not and if installing any SHOUTcast software yourself could potentially cause conflicts, problems, or confusions. That being said, based on some assumptions though, I would say that you would need to install the appropriate version of the DNAS (probably the old 1.9.8 version since I did not see any explicit mentions of the new beta DNAS2 on any of their official webpages.) For example, if you intend to install or have installed WHMSonic on a linux machine then you would need to download the appropriate linux binary and install that on that machine. Also based on assumptions, you will not need to download/use sc_trans since if you're using SAM, it comes with it's own compatible legacy encoder I believe.

As I've said before, I don't know if WHMSonic supports the new DNAS2 or not (or if it supports the Transcoder.) There might be a third party plugin for WHMSonic to do it but I don't know. I guess it's possible.

If you just want to get one station going I think WHMSonic might be a bit of overkill for you though.

Outside the scope of WHMSonic, for a linux install I think just about anyplace on the linux file system that allows you to keep your install organized and manageable would do. Depending on your level of skill/experience with linux I would say install it in /bin/SHOUTcast although others with a higher level of experience than me might advise someplace else-wheres. I think I've even seen mention of some installs into the actively logged in account's home folder: ie /home/user/SHOUTcast

Yeah, ultimately it depends on your level of skill or expertise with the operating system you're installing on. I would recommend installing wherever the installer defaults to (if there is an installer default, which I don't think there is with the linux binary packages.)
