Sync always copying some songs
Every time I go sync my android phone with my computer it tries to copy about half the songs on the sync list from my computer on to the phone so I end up with multiple copies of each song/playlist....
Any ideas? Using WinAmp 5.601 and syncing with HTC Desire on android 2.2 |

I've already posted about this, as have others: http://forums.winamp.com/showpost.ph...&postcount=127 and http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?t=327794 . No response from developers yet.

Moving this to the Winamp Bug Reports forum, seeing as it's related to the pmp plugin system in the Winamp program and not actually anything to do with the Winamp For Android app.
I've not personally used the auto Sync feature for years, I just select the files in the Playlist or ML that I want to transfer and do right-click > Send To > Android Drive X As far as I know, it can't/doesn't transfer the same file(s) twice, and it won't transfer any files if the metadata (Album Artist, Artist, Album, Track#, Title, etc) is exactly the same. Could just be a UI bug somewhere in the devices/pmp Sync dialog... |

This sounds almost exactly like the problem I have syncing video podcasts to my Galaxy S. I can fix it by selecting 'Edit metadata for selection' and then pressing 'update' with 'update file tag(s) if supported' selected. So, it looks to me as if for some reason Winamp uses the tags stored on the file (which for videos are of course initially none) rather than the metadata in the media library when syncing certain android devices. Tbh I got so sick of doing it I now use Google Reader for podcasts, but I'd much prefer to use Winamp.
