MTV Music Video late 90s/early 00s

I am looking for a song but I can only remember it's music video:

when: late 1990s / early 2000s
where: MTV (Canada)
music: some form of rock
singer: male with long black hair, I think he was barechested in the music video and he had tattos (only speculation though)
setting: So the setting of the video is twofold. In one part of the video, there's a girl walking through a psychedelic world with green and/or purple hills. The girl is wearing some kind of mask looking like a japanese anime. She's following a rabbit and catches him I think, but at some point she loses him and he reappears on the opposite hillside and they stare at each other a bit. In between this story, shots of the singer are shown

So I rememeber that I liked this song quite a bit the few times I listened to it on MTV, but I never bothered buying the album and now I can't even remember that name of the artist or the song. It's been annoying me lately and I hope someone remembers what music video I'm talking about.

Also, everytime I try to remember the melody, I think of the song Butterfly by Crazy Town.
