Winamp 1.0.3 still crashing on Wi-fi settings
Hi,
I have an Asus Transformer running Android 3.0.1 (HRI66.WW_epad-8.2.3.9-20110423), and have installed that latest Winamp on both my PC and on my tablet. I wanted to play songs from my PC to my tablet but over wi-fi so I connected to my wifi, clicked "Enable wireless sync" and then "Wi-Fi settings" whiched caused a "Force Close". This happens in both landscape and portrait orientation. Playing SHOUTcasts works fine, as does playing music from the SD card. Any ideas? Steve p.s Other options in the settings menu that cause a "Force close" include clicking on System to get SD and phone storage info (might be related, might not). |

Wifi Sync working on Asus Transformer
I just picked up an Asus Transformer and am running into the same problem. Clicking on Wi-Fi settings will cause an immediate Force Close. I've search on and off for several days and have seen other people with this same problem, but no response from Winamp.
I'm guessing that it's an Android 3.x issue, but that's just a guess. The good news is that I got it working... not sure how stable it will be, but here is what I did:
The computer immediately "saw" my tablet and was able to sync with it. I've restarted both devices a couple of times and so far wifi sync continues to work. I suspect that their is no need to go into the "Wi-Fi settings" from within Winamp on the tablet or mobile device as you can just go into Wi-Fi setting through the normal settings interface to accomplish the same thing. |
