shoutcast page error (no data received )

Hello, I have problem with my shoutcast server, I changed over 10 company for hosting shoutcast and I cant manager my radio because when I try to check my status page for shoutcast there: http://panel1.shoutcast.pro:8186 I get this error:

No data received
Unable to load the webpage because the server sent no data.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this web page later.
Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): The server closed the connection without sending any data.

- All what I need is one shoutcast server secure because I think that is one type of attack thank you.

You might want to contact them about your package. Since they aren't affiliated with AOL/Nullsoft there's not much anyone can do here.

Side note:
It doesn't seem the server is running on that port. Might be a technical issue.

I already told you, it doesn't seem the server is running on that port. I can't diagnose a non-running DNAS with no logs or configuration files.

from the address in the last screenshot, the DNAS appears to be running at the time (is a v1 DNAS you're using) but there is no source connected to the DNAS (there has been as there is one entry in the song history).

though i cannot make much sense of your posts due to broken english. if you're having issues with the stability / access of the server then that's something for the hosting company to help you out with - not something for these forums.

i'm unable to reproduce this again and is why i've merged it with the previous thread which never came to a solution as there was nothing anyone could replicate.

the address shown in the screenshot is working fine for me (and i even made sure to try in Chrome 24). have you maybe considered that it's an issue with your setup and how you access the DNAS. as i find it hard to believe that you're being attacked over all of the many hosts that you've said you have been using.

either way, if it is being hacked then with it being a v1 DNAS, there's little that can be done as that has known security issues and is no longer actively developed.

thank you for your comment for moment my shoutcast is active and worked but sometime appear the error no data received and in the moment when this error appear no one can connected in radio and problem is not to my browser because I've checked from many pc, Is there a possibility attack in udp or tcp port, because support of company shoutcast yesterday has launched my Shoutcast server from his own computer and the problem appeared again, he enabled filter ip but it does not help really I'm tired of this issue...

anything running on a port can be subject to a DDoS attack, the DNAS included. and with the age of the v1 DNAS, it's level of security and resilience to things is not that great. so if it is actually someone attacking you then you're not helping yourself by using a v1 DNAS. though if it was a DDoS attack then at least when it started you'd have some sort of logging output to indicate a large number of simultaneous client connections.

though really this is something you need to take up with your host as there is little we [SHOUTcast] can do about what does and doesn't get done via a hosting provider as you are using.

Hello.

I read what is here very carefully.
We are a hosting company and one of our client has exactly the same issue.
The server is here: http://94.23.8.191:8888/ (now [5:45 PM 11.21.2013 GMT+2] it's not working, but maybe when you will check the server will work)

What i can tell you. The server is running fine and after some time if the server is restarted the shoutcast adiminstration page does not appear "No data received". After some time (maybe i can think that the attack is finished) the server starts with no issue and no modification in configuration file.

In this time i have tried to start a shoutcast 2 server on exactly the same port and the same result.... administration page does not appear, ONLY on that port.

helyos: was it with v2.0 or v2.2 that you tried? as this thread is in relation to v2.0 but would suggest trying with v2.2 as that has a slew of changes to hopefully resolve whatever the cause of the issue was.

It was SHOUTcast Server v2.0.0.29. But i will try something different.
Now i think that the attack is on... such that I have "No data received" On shoutcast. I will try to put Icecast on exactly same port. To see... And i will come back with the result

So as I promised... When Shoutcast version 1 or version 2 is not working on port 8888 i tried with Icecast2. Guess what??!

The same result.
The server is started because i can see the process PID, but the server is not accessible and with Icecast2 the administration page gave me in Chrome: "This webpage is not available"

Have you any ideea what is this?? For me is something veeeeeeryyyyyy strange!!!

if it's not working for anything, you've either not done the port forwarding correctly or there's a firewall or something like that blocking it. if you're not the admin of the machine, you're going to need to find out who it is to help you.

I am the admin of the system and the port is opened in the firewall. if the port was blocked then the connection was timed out.
