How to guarantee my phone will be discovered by WinAMP on PC?

I love wifi sync very much, it allows us manage the audio files on the phone without plug the USB cable between PC and WinAMP]
But I really don't know how the "Phone discover" function works.
Actually I expect my phone will be discovered everytime I turn the wifi on, but it do not.
I need to do a lot a thing, for example, restart WinAMP on PC, kill WinAMP on my phone and launch it on my phone again, turn off the "Enable wireless sync" and turn it on again....
After that, I have a minimal chance to make my phone able to be discovered by WinAMP on PC.
So, what are the right step to use wifi sync?
