Collumns in SmartViews
Hi,
When I add a new "smartview" to the MediaLibrary, I always change the columns (e.g. artist, title, album) and their order - for example I always hide playcount and add category, etc. I was wandering, whether there is a way to change how the default smartview looks when created. There seems to be no "official" way, so I tried to change the file "default.vmd" stored in "AppData\Winamp\Plugins\ml", but that doesn't seem to be doing anything. What am I doing wrong? How can this be done (if at all)? Thank you. M. |

Thanks for the reply
The second link (kind of) solved it. But one think still bothers me: what does the "default.vmd" do? Because it definitely doesn't to what everybody would expect (i.e. change the appearance of a newly created smartview)...

i don't know, i haven't tried any of this yet.
but when you say it solved it "kind of," what do you mean? what worked? what didn't? PENN STATE Radio or http://www.LION-Radio.org/ -- BUG #1 = Winamp skips short tracks Wish #1 = Multiple Column Sorting Wish #2 = Add TCMP/Compilation editing |

Well, I wanted to change the appearance of a newly created smartview and this solution doesn't do that. Instead it links all your existing smartviews so that the appearance is the same in all of them. So, technically, it is a different thing, but it works perfectly for me. So thanks again
