PreSlice 2.0

So, I've been playing around and yes, I know I have other skins that are not complete yet...and likely will never be finished.

I've been re-working preslice as I didn't like some of it and figured I'd touch up on some of the areas to see what I could come up with. There are some areas that are duplications of previous in-progress work as well as areas that include work from years ago...However, as with all things it is always ok to re-use your own stuff as long as it presents something new...

Let me know either way. I am actually hoping this time to make a more aesthetic skin from this eventually, that will be easy on the eyes and also present some futuristic view...though, I am unsure if I can do it...but, again we shall see.

It's looking good man, though it seems to be not that sharp in a few areas? Knowing how you do things I'm sure that'll change entirely if it already hasent.

I'm still working on the main metal and surrounding...still not happy with it...I'm looking for smoother transitions and smoother metal with blending effects for my button areas...so, I've moved for now to the eq/pl...maybe in doing them I can come up with something more useful...I feel like I end up with the same overall effects that I have done before...so, onward I push until I find something new.

Note I am using my wacom for this...so, things are quite as they have been in the past...it is a new experience overall...and to some extent some things are quite different while others remain.

Sometimes you just got to keep flowing...and wacom be damned or not...you just keep going, and it is taking me along time to get used to this damned thing...aww well, here is what I have to date...

I may go back to the earlier cbuttons as they were a bit softer and I liked that very much whereas I'm okay with them at this point, but the softer look seems to do more for how I envision the button behavior.

Man, drawing with a pen should be easier but damn the finite control you have is actually a hell of a lot harder than using a mouse. Or at least it is to me at this stage. The smallest little shake and destroyed area...lol.

Didn't like the blend area just under the cbutton row. I had originally intended to do a light effect on press states...but, it just looks like garbage; so I cleaned it up a bit and I still have work to do but, you see where I am going with it.

Sorry for all the updates however, I wanted to finish the eq/pl transition and add my lighting effects into the overall skin before I stopped this evening. So, here it is in final form before cuts. It is a good design overall I think and I believe I may actually finish this one. I am looking forward to creating some hot shit animations.

The second one looks incredibly awesome right now but I'd almost rather see you do the first one since it's much more different from your usual style. So maybe do both! Have a Team-Flynn skin and a Team-Clu skin!

I want to say you've got the Daft Punk helmet in the EQ but it doesn't look like it. They are both really clean skins, the Clu skin is turning out but don't blame me for being more excited on Flynn. :P

Very Near to Finished now.

So I've re-tied all elements together the only area's without representation are the min|max|close titlebar btn's. I will get to these on the windows. I have some placeholders that just won't do in those area's at the moment...so, I will work on fixing all that. I will then re-work my base animations as they are no longer appropriate for the rest of the skin.
