Compilation Albuns being split up

Most of the Albums on my device (A samsung Galaxy s Captivate running the Andromeda rom) are compilations of several artists, so when making their tags, I've left the Artist field as the one who is actually peforming while filled up the Album artist field with any variation of "various artists".

the problem is, when I copied the files to my device, android winamp is ignoring the album artist field, which led me to have the several albums being split up between each individual artist. so instead of a single album with all the music, i have 15 albuns with a single music, and identical covers.

I use MP3tag to create the tags. and I'm sure the tags are all right because Itunes do separate between the proper albuns. however, since i need the songs on my galaxy, can you guys help me solving this problem?
