Will someone ever fix Milkdrop in Winamp?

Milkdrop has been broken in Winamp for months now, it simply does not work (does not register any sound, therefor it won't initialize any visualizations).

To fix the problem I always have to replace the Milkdrop version with some older one after updating Winamp.

PS And no, this is not on my PC, it happens on every single machine I own (with various operating systems).

is this happening for you even after installing the Winamp 5.63 release? (see http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?t=345684)

as from the changelog there is:

as i had a number of people who were having the issue when using Winamp + Milkdrop when Winamp is localised on a non-english setup of Windows reported that this new version resolved the issue which i had introduced when trying to resolve other issues for the russian translation of Milkdrop.

I had no idea that localization would affect the plugin. I have switched my Winamp to English and it works. I think I'll just do a clean install right now and see how it goes.

Yes, it worked on clean install

something must have been wrong with my installation (I've had it for a long time now) on my PC , I just checked my netbook and Winamp was outdated there..
