MP3 License for multiple sc_serv/sc_trans instances?
Hello,
I've not found anything online regarding this issue. When I'm running multiple pairs of sc_serv and sc_trans, do I need an MP3 license for each, or is it enough to have one license which I can use across all instances? Thanks in advance! |

it is meant to be one license for each station which can be made up of multiple streams at different bitrates.

The interesting question here is: Is it ok to use the same licence for test streams? Example:
- 1 server with public stream - 2 servers with 1 non-public stream each for testing It IS still one station but the streams are on different locations and you have 3 sets of server/transcoder. |

as long as you say they all relate to the same station then there wouldn't be any issue, though if they're private then how is anyone going to check up on things anyway...

In Canada - You can run as many streams/ instances as you wish - as long as it comes from ONE website stream per the License you were issued.
