winamp does not log files added to library by sync transfer

I have just had trouble with winamp where i like to download music on my phone then add it to my pc library. when doing so winamp does not recognize that files have been added when using smart playlists. This is quite annoying as i like to listen to my new music a few times separately from the rest of the music in my library and use the recently added playlist to filter out the new music. please can you sort this issue out. thanks
