v2 Not showing Now Playing song title
Hi
I have multiple streams up and running on v2 however I am unable to see the song or artist information against the station within the directory listing? Now the odd thing to me is that when I login to my 'SHOUTcast DNAS Administrator Summary' page and click on 'Stream Metadata' it is showing and is obviously showing on any player such as our flash player, TuneIn and the like just not the directory. Example of the Stream Metadata: code: For information I am using MB Recaster which support v2 into CentovaCast v3 and to me its all correct and sending the metadata but nothing shows within the shoutcast directory? I have set-up a separate v1 stream and this populate as expected being on the legacy protocol. Look forward to anyone's suggestion or even corrections if I have misunderstood something regarding v2 and the above stream metadata is wrong . |

that is a v1 source and so http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?p=2790357#known and point #7 explains why you're not seeing what you'd expect (and only affects the listing, not listener tune-ins).

Thanks Daz,
Nice to get clarification regarding the output, was getting slightly confused as used Edcast for v1 so once development stopped even with the Reborn project I then switched to MB Recaster as they state on their website v2 support! |

most 'v1' sources should just work as is, if not then it's generally down to bugs in the current build of the v2 DNAS which lead to issues.

Just noticed that the MB Recaster is not working as expected, when entering the 'Encoder' and then entering server address, port and stream identifier : address : port , streamid
For example, 127.0.0.1:8000,1 it is failing to start and I must have left off the ',1'. There seems to be a bug using ',' as anything else as in ' ; : . all do not cause the encoder not to start even though they are all wrong. I therefore assume this is a bug in MB Recaster Free 3.9.2 and 3.9.3 Pro unless of course this is something to do with the latest RC CentovaCast release of v3. Anyhow thanks for your initial response as I could not make my mind up which part was causing the issue. |

have never heard of the <ip>:<port>,<sid> syntax but i've never used that software so anything is possible. probably best to enquire on their support forums, etc to see if they're aware of it or if it's a configuration issue.

Yea I had not seen it before but since trying to trouble shoot I have found that RadioBOSS software also uses the same format.
