Skip long silent/almost silent parts of songs automatically

Hi. is it possible to configure Winamp in a way, that long breaks (like > 10 secs or something) within tracks are skipped?
this mostly happens with tracks "hidden" in the last track - which is 10 Minutes longer on disk then described on the cover with a lot of useless "waiting"

Preferences -> Plug-ins -> Output -> DirectSound Output -> 'Other' tab and then the options in the 'Silence remover' block. has only been there since the 2.x days

Thx, but isn't that setting only for silence in the beginning and at the end of songs?! At least that's what written there in my localisation.......

it's mainly for that purpose but it will do it in the rest of the file as well (is what i've used for files like you've mentioned for over a decade).
