Hello—with every flac album I browse in the Winamp Pro for Android folder view, each file has a hidden file duplicate.
i.e. 01 Sever.flac 02 Drops.flac 03 Good Worker.flac will always have ._01 Sever.flac ._02 Drops.flac ._03 Good Worker.flac before the actual flac files. When I try to play one of these files, I am greeted with the following error: 'Sorry, the player cannot connect to the network.' This is a major pain when playing any flac file or album. The only solution I have found is deleting each weird dupe file one by one in folder view, which is a major annoyance. I use the word major relative to the overall experience of playing flac on my phone. This issue started a few Winamp Android updates ago, maybe 4 months back? The hidden files will not show on my Mac. And no, not using OS X isn't a solution (as per my search results). A simple fix to hide the files in folder view would be swell. Or better yet, full FLAC SUPPORT in Winamp Pro. Why is this not a feature yet? It's not that difficult. |

I don't see this issue when I transfer my flac audio files to my Samsung phone's SD card, providing the the SD card is formatted in-phone as a FAT32 file system. What version of Android and OSX are in play here?
My big gripe is that Winamp doesn't recognise the track numbers in the album titles so plays tracks back in the wrong order ..... Clem |
