Horrendous issues syncing my Nexus 4

Hi there, I apologize in advance for this rant, but if you'll bear with me.

I just got a Nexus 4 and I'm having some serious issues syncing with my winamp library. First of all, I was only able to USB sync at all by turning on USB debugging, I assume because the Nexus 4 can't be recognized as a USB mass storage device. I can wireless sync, which is slow as hell, and some songs will fail to transfer in streaks, but in BOTH cases, my PC can't properly recognize what's on my phone. I press sync and it will say 200 songs need to be transferred, 40 need to be deleted. I sync and then it will say 100 need to be transferred, 7 need to be deleted. Every time I sync the numbers go up and down at random and if I check my phone, it's pretty obvious there are songs missing. If I switch back to USB sync the numbers jump up to something crazy like 300 need to be transferred and 100 deleted. My whole library has about 850 songs.

All I want is a perfect sync, damn it, this is so broken.

the Nexus 4 uses MTP which requires pmp_p4s.dll to be installed. i know that from having a Nexus 4 as well and having briefly looked into the issue (as wifi sync fails for me due to other things on my network screwing with things), i've not tried it via the debugging option you say, though that is likely to be part of the issue. it is known that the sync support is far from being ideal and may see some much needed attention in the coming months (though i cannot guarantee that is going to happen, but is the intention).

I know MTP is seemingly working fine, since I can browse the data on the phone no problem.

yes and i'm saying that Winamp's handling of that is not ideal and that it is known that it is not ideal (hence why i had to go out and buy a Nexus 4 to eventually aid with internal testing for such devices in a later Winamp and WAFA release).
