Help Setup (confused about mountpoints)

Hello I am a bit new to this and I have purchased my shoutcast license for $5 and I have setup the linux sc_serv on my operating system...

My Operating System: Ubuntu Studio =-)My Operating System: Ubuntu Studio =-)

I am a bit confused about the whole mountpoint thing, I understand that it is a file that the client (a listener) connects to in order to access the stream, but where is this file stored, or do I need to create one in order to give to my users?

it's not a real file, it's just part of the stream url provided / accessed by the listener. in all honesty it's not something you need to worry about and as long as when some clicks the 'listen' link on the DNAS's summary page or via a Directory listing link and it works, the fact you don't have a custom mountpoint won't affect them connecting.
