A second user would like to know the answer to this, as well...
It's easy to find a playlist I create on PC and send to Android, but I cannot find (using a PC USB connection) the playlists I create on Android. Why is this important? Because, for reasons I cannot discern, playlists created in Winamp on PC for the Android device sometimes appear to have missing entries when viewed on the Android device. The entries are not "missing" when viewed on the PC using a USB connection. It would be nice to retrieve the Android-generated playlist to my PC, and then compare them to help resolve this mystery. |

A third user wants to know it.
Is it possible that the playlists are not stored by winamp but by the system in the /data/data somewhere? I don't find it on my sdcard. frank |

OK, Playlists are primarily stored on the sd-card as a file. But the system scans for all those m3u and so on and writes them to the internal database from where all apps can access and read it. So Playlists are a system thing firstly.
This database should be somewhat in: /data/data/com.android.providers.media/databases/external.db You can open this database with the (best) SQLite Editor (no freeware! Tools like aSQLiteManager or ROM Toolbox are to poor and don't show enough or anything). I checked this for my Samsung Galaxy S2 with OS 4.1.2 (NeatROM with AllianceMod) only. You need root on your phone to check it, I think. frank |
