Purchased WinAmp Pro, how to enter license on Android WinAmp
Hi.
Im an old fan of winamp, remember using it since back 1999. The 2.91 WinAmp version i had died with the computer that held it. So (very very sadly), had to replace with new versions. Found out, as expected, that winamp for my Android tablet is the best alternative for music so i went to the winamp website and bought the WinAmp Pro License. Used my main email account for the purchase, which is not the google account i use on the tablet for the play store. Already have my Winamp rocking on the windows laptop, but how to enter license on android to unlock Winamp Pro?. Did some research on this forum (found a thread i dont want to bump, btw) and read that i have to fresh instal winamp free, then click on equalizer, then insert license. But there is no place to insert license, only the "buy pro" button appears there, if i click it, takes me directly to the "buy pro winamp android". Thanks in advance. |

Hi
http://www.winamp.com/help/FAQ#Winamp_Pro Quote:
It's just a Google Play transaction, where it automatically recognizes the upgrade/purchase, as long as you are logged into the same google account on the phone/device that you originally placed the order with. We do intend to offer a method of purchasing a Windows/Android bundle package in the future, though due to the way Google Play is designed, I'm not sure if it's even possible just yet.... but we shall see. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news :-( |

little correction to what you said egg
the license through google play will transfer to any device in your google play account as long as you use the same account during purchase so if you upgrade your phone to a new phone you will be able to install it there (as long as it is a android/google play compatible device) but you have to use the same google account you used the first time thanks rob (c)rob 2013 (picture & SN) (please note) As users we can't give others help unless we get full details of the problem that you are having |

rob: the OP clearly states they've used a different account from the account on the device compared to what was used to make the purchase.

@dro for that case yes its almost impossible to retrieve the license
why for android devices its important to register through google play with your account dont even think its possible to retrieve the key with the original email if it was a android key if not though the android key is a separate key and can be transfered on any android devices that are linked through google play to your account but as egg says it is a separate key through google play at this time thanks rob (c)rob 2013 (picture & SN) (please note) As users we can't give others help unless we get full details of the problem that you are having |
