Car Bluetooth not seeing Winamp
I have just installed Winamp on my Samsung S4 and have some issues
. This app is replacing Poweramp, because I just got tired of it and its useless shuffle system. When using with my bluetooth system on my LIncoln MKX there are no issues yet, but when using with my Lexus RX350 it is a different story. When using on the Lexus I get info displayed from Pay Music while hearing music from Winamp. I've restarted and made sure Play Music was not running but still does not want to display info from Winamp. Cannot uninstall Play Music as it came on the S4. This was never a problem with Poweramp or even Fusion. Also, after installing the Washer extra got like 2000 pictures added to my picture library, any way to keep them separate? I use Winamp on my desktop with windows 7 and I really like the UI so I would like it to work with my S4. |

it is all one the defaulting ends
as im sure poweramp probably had higher rights toward bluetooth compared to other players now thats its uninstalled google music play is taking over as default best way to probably resolve the issue is going into winamps settings and checking the box where it says "control the headset" from experience this puts winamp at highest priority thanks rob (c)rob 2013 (picture & SN) (please note) As users we can't give others help unless we get full details of the problem that you are having |

I'm here for the same reason, and unfortunately I think Robdog is mistaken.
If you do a search on bluetooth, you'll find that this problem has been posted MANY times before, with nary a solution or comment from the Winamp developers...or at least one I've been able to dig up. I've removed all music apps, including default Samsung, Google Play, etc. leaving Winamp as the ONLY media player on the phone, and the same error occurs. If you enable headphone controls, it should help you move throughout tracks, you just won't know what your listening to without looking at your phone. It's a shame...I was all ready to whip the lama's ass and purchased the Pro-Version because I liked the Winamp so much over the years. However, now that I have a new car (GMC Acadia) and can't see what I'm playing, etc. I think i'll go back to using doubleTwist, which I can tell you first hand works. FYI: The Spotify app has this same problem as well. |

In the interim, MixZing will work in your car (if you haven't checked it yet).

Through extensive research and trial and error, I found the perfect solution. Rocket player is a phenomenal app that works well with all bluetooth devices. It comes free with an eq and for only $3.99 you get the 10 band eq.

Unfortunately, Rocket player doesn't do Shoutcast, which I love in my car.
