[PLAYLISTMGR] The playlist entry generated no entries
I saw a couple threads with this specific issue, but without a resolution:
http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?t=332440 http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?t=350474 OS: Debian 64bit (Mint/Ubuntu 13.04) SC_Trans version: [MAIN] TRANSCast/posix(linux x64) v2.0.0.54 (Oct 7 2011) Issue: I have generated a file list using find, auto populating files from an NFS mount. SC_Trans complains of "[PLAYLISTMGR] The playlist entry <file path> generated no entries". It appears that entries with spaces or special characters are generating errors. So far any file with a [ or a space in the name or path causes the error and is skipped. Has there been any progress in ironing out this issue? Thanks |

not really - there were some minor changes put in place in the internal builds to try to deal with trailing spaces, but for the linux versions, it's noted that [ or ] need to be escaped for them to work (http://wiki.winamp.com/wiki/SHOUTcas...al_Information) due to how the feature is implemented.
there maybe a newer sc_trans build with the trailing spaces fix coming in the next few weeks, but files with [ or ] are going to behave incorrectly. |

Thanks for your reply, and the information.
I'll standby for the trailing spaces fix, I can live with replacing [] with something else in file/directory names. As an aside, I did try escaping the characters in the playlist (though I neglected to mention that in the original post): A file with "[Version].mp3" in the title. Edited playlist entry to be: \[Version\].mp3. However, when sc_trans reads the playlist it reinterprets the \ as an / /[Version/].mp3 generated no entries |
