I am sincerely sorry to bother you about this.

I correctly or tried to change it as prompted.

Here is the scenario.

I was changing The Name from CGR Radio Network to KIVC RADIO

The Genre from Oldies to 30's

and The Bit Rate from 128 to 56k.

When I did that and even re-booting the computer, and I was looking to the station in the shoutcast search, even when I changed it and made it public, I found the stream still under

CGR Radio Network and all...and still 128k..I did this about 10 times and slowly..

Do I contact my server?

thanks please e mail me if you like

kivcradio@gmail.com

I am in dire need of help...thanks and very sorry to bother you, thank you very much for your time..

Gerald Gaule..

without a link to the DNAS server to check what is being used, it's hard to give any suggestions, though yes you probably would be best off contacting your hosting provider directly for assistance with configuration changes, etc.

Ok I contacted my server Pillar Tunez and here is my DNAS http://64.20.42.58:8032/ I have been trying really hard to change my directory on my shoutcast I even have re booted I have even re-installed the broadcaster and installed the tools needed...here is the problem..I have been trying to change it from 128k/44,100 STEREO to 48k,44 100 Mono and from Oldies to Old Time Radio, and normally in the past a change does not take long when I do a search on shoutcast for my station, but this time it will not change or update..

My server Pillar said it is winamps/shoutcast problem..

I have followed the steps right and as above what else I have done..I just need help if possible..

Thanks..

the issue is down to the settings in the source being used as there are no custom alterations on the listing for the DNAS in place and even if there was, it would not be responsible for anything to do with the bitrate, etc of the stream.

as you're mentioning Winamp, all i can suggest is to ensure that you're correctly changing things in the Source DSP since if you are using Winamp, that is the only place where the bitrate and type of the stream can be controlled.

if you're not using Winamp, then you're going to have to consult the relevant documentation for the source software you're using to feed the stream.

i am trying to help (within the confines of what i'm able to do), but without knowing what exactly you're using (which was also not present in the support message received and would greatly help to determine what to suggest), i've provided the best starting point i can do as if you have an issue with the encoded bitrate not being right, the source software (whatever is being used) is the first port of call when trying to determine what is not being applied.
