Auto/Manual Dump Source
Hello all,
I've been experimenting with a Shoutcast server and after some googling, I need some help with what I believe might be a somewhat unique scenario: At this stage, our company is setting up Shoutcast servers so that individuals can connect and broadcast during a set time. THe issue here is how to ensure a source is kicked after their timeslot automatically, rather than manually going into the Shoutcast admin to do so. In general, we would want a script that would kick the source, and do whatever additional step (if required) to ensure the Server continues to look for a new source. Does anyone have any ideas on how this might be accomplished? I've found a few guides that reference the kicksource.pal, along this: 'http://admin:'+shoutcast_password+'@'+shoutcast_host+':'+shoutcast_port+'/admin.cgi?mode=kicksrc'; But that appears to be assuming SAM Broadcaster, which we aren't. Clients might be anything, we don't care about that. I assume you could just send the full URL, though I'm not sure if it would be a POST or a GET. There's also : http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?t=243719, but I can't figure out *how* that code works in order to rework it. Any ideas or advice would be appreciated. |
