So is Winamp Enthusiasts getting a website?
So as many may know, We have an excellent FB page with skins. But I really am starting to dislike Facebook and would like things to be done like a blog or website.
I think a webpage would be great but overkill. But a wordpress blog will do fine. Is this a thing that could happen? |

Not really, it's not even a month since we've close WEF so it's not only early to ask for it but it's also pointless since the interest on it should be still near zero..
![]() MAYBE something like that (probably not a forum-only) could see the day of light AFTER Winamp releases some new stuff and things begin to get on moving again.. so I wouldn't expect much before the end of this year.. In the meantime, there are other Winamp related sites you may like: Winampers DeviantArt group (I'm the creator) 1001 Skins Skin Consortium (cPro makers, quite dead now but we're expecting news soon..) |

If there is enough interest; I would happily host a forum, blog, site, home, etc on 1001skins. Though, I'd like more than 5 people as members.

I also don't like the facebook style myself, but seems like there Pete is getting there more attention / movement than in the forums.. it's a pity FB doesn't have a more clean / intuitive way to store content (calling it images, info, skins, zips, etc). @Joe; seems like the forum style won't work anymore beyond this forums (which are actually quite silent too), but there may be another ways to engage people.. from what I see, you Disqus integration in 1001 isn't carrying too much discussion / participation, but it is used in a lot of sites and it works.. maybe it's a matter of content, about pulling out more content other than skins or plugins, like design or music articles, resources, projects, etc.. (and deploying it in a medium where everyone is already in, like Facebook, eliminating the need to atract people to a "new place"..).. |
