An alternative to Winamp ?
Dear Guys,
I've been using winamp for a few years now, and was happy with it. But few weeks back, i installed 7 on my computer. After installing winamp on it, my .mpc files, some flac, and other audio files were not support natively. So i figured out winamp was not as swell as it was few years back, and there must be a software that can play all this files without installing extensions. So here's my question, what mp3 player software, wich support most audio files, do you use ? Ps : Please excuse my english. Edit : One thing i shoud mention, i like to put all my files in a list, and use the search option. I'd like a player with the same option =) |

most likely you've not got the required plug-ins installed to play the files (as FLAC is definitely a natively supported file format in Winamp as long as the FLAC plug-in is installed).
MPC is not natively supported and requires a plug-in. no idea about the other formats without knowing more about what they are. so for at least the FLAC issue, you should re-run the version of the installer from my signature as well as ensuring you apply the 2 required plug-in updates and making sure that FLAC (and probably all of the other input plug-ins are selected during install). |
