Station not showing up in search again
Greetings!
Our station -> NameSake Radio - is not showing up when searched for even by name anymore. This happened once before a long time ago and I do not remember what the resolution is. Please let me know if there is anything I need to do on my end. Everything seems to be working fine, but I have had 3 complaints from MusicBee users that our stream doesn't appear as 'valid', however works fine with VLC and other players on their systems. Odd. Stream: http://stream.namesakeradio.com:8342 Footnote - I can't edit my own profile details on the forum. No biggie, but thought I would mention it. Tells me I am unauthorized and asks if I am trying to edit someone else's profile, etc. Thank you! - Mandrake |

As a first step try changing the genre to a more specific one as the 'All' doesn't exist in shoutcast! see http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?t=303241 |

a genre like that will just be mapped to 'misc' and it won't prevent a station from being listed (as much as i'd like to block stations with badly formatted / missing decent stream information). though definitely a better genre should be picked from the supported list.
from what i can tell, the IP address of the server has changed early this morning (based on comparing what is in the YP database and the link that has been provided). so i suspect there is some sort of YP error being reported in the DNAS's log which would confirm the cause of not being listed (though i've a feeling it's side-effect of once again trying to do something to help resolve the v1.x clustering issues). really you should be looking to update to the v2.x DNAS as it works better with using a DNS entry for the stream (and allows the YP listing to use it as well unlike the v1.x DNAS). |

found the issue on the YP and fixed. station is showing along with a number of other ones affected by the clustering bug fix - this is why people really really really need to stop using the v1.x DNAS (you wouldn't use IE6, so why use something of a similar age?).
