[MICROSERVER] Could not create signal pipe [Too many file handles have been opened]

Hi

I am using Windows 2012 with DNAS 2.4.2 167 and getting the following error:
[MICROSERVER] Could not create signal pipe [Too many file handles have been opened]

What could be wrong and how to fix it?

Thank you in advance

try restarting the DNAS and make sure nothing else on the machine is consuming too many user objects. that's the only thing that can lead to that error on a Windows instance i.e. something be it the DNAS or another program is not releasing things and so the OS is running out of resources.

Thank you for the information. There is nothing else running on the server but 4 DNAS - one for each radio station. I am still struggling with the error. The stations have 900, 450, 250 and 80 connections respectively. Would it be better to use the DNAS on Linux instead of Windows 2012? What else would you recommend to do? The cpu usage is constantly about 40% and RAM usage around 15%.

other than using process explorer to see if it's giving any noticeable resource leaks, can you email your DNAS addresses to support @ shoutcast.com and it'll be triaged from there.
